In the late 1990's when competition was increasing in the banking sector of Australia, UTS: TDS provided a customised training solution which resulted in our client becoming the fifth largest retail bank in Australia.

This bank commenced operation in its Sydney headquarters in 1999 with 200 staff - it's fresh approach and highly competitive products – meant that rapid expansion was inevitable.

To deal with an increased workforce and diversification of product offerings, the Organisational Development Manager put to tender their requirements for a middle management vocational qualification. Their primary concern was to retain their young, dynamic workforce by offering them a relevant vocational qualification to enable strengthened management expertise and to offer opportunities for internal movement across the four main divisions of the business.

After the selective tender process, UTS Training and Development Services emerged as the most flexible, price competitive and dynamic training provider able to satisfy this banks need for customisation of the Diploma of Management courses.

Ten years later, UTS Training and Development Services continues in the partnership arrangement with this bank with over 250 managers having Graduated with the Diploma of Management and a retention rate for those graduands of 86%.
