TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
The TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is delivered by Training and Development Services on behalf of AccessUTS, a registered training organisation. This course is designed to provide an entry level qualification which provides all users with a well designed set of foundation units that are the essential elements of what is needed as a trainer and/or assessor and a firm foundation on which to build further knowledge and skills.
This qualification reflects the role of individuals delivering training and assessment services in the vocational education and training (VET) sector.
The qualification provides participants with the required knowledge and skills to:
- provide work skill instruction
- make a presentation
- use training packages and accredited courses to meet client needs
- design and develop learning programs
- plan, organise and deliver group-based learning
- plan, organise and facilitate learning in the workplace
- plan assessment activities and processes
- assess competence
- design and develop assessment tools
- participate in assessment validation.

Delivery methodology
The delivery method will combine face-to-face trainer led learner centred courses, formative assessment activities and learning activities involving small groups and the individual, experiential learning and workplace based projects.
Assessment
Assessments will occur both during the course off-the-job and on-the-job through workplace-based projects for learners to be able to demonstrate competency against the nationally endorsed standards.
Recognition assessment
All participants shall have access to and can apply for recognition assessment (RA) on enrolment for all unit(s) of competency in this qualification. Candidates who consider that they already possess and can demonstrate the competencies outlined in the unit(s) of competency shall be granted credit on substantiation.
